Dukan Diet SuccessThe first day I tried it, I completely failed by noon. So I waited two days and tried again. It went much better the second time, as described here. ![]() Yesterday I finished a five- day “Attack Phase” on the Dukan Diet and lost 6. That worked incredibly well - much better than I ever would have suspected - so it was completely natural to stick with the program and enter Phase 2, the Cruise Phase (see How the Dukan Diet works – The French diet that is supposed to end the obesity epidemic for details on the phases of the Dukan diet). Here is a week- by- week diary of my experiences on Cruise phase. These articles can also be very helpful. I also made this video on the Dukan diet and obesity, which you may find helpful (and which also shows a . It really was a great experience. I was interviewed by ABC twice, I appeared on the Dr. Oz show, etc. But then let me tell you what happened next.. You can see that Phase 1 and Phase 2 went well for me. I did reach my target weight of 1. Success with Dukan?? Does anyone have any feedback on this diet plan? February 1, 2014 2:01AM. Millions of people struggling with weight, gas, and bloating are now in luck. I started at 2. 27. I lost 5. 2 pounds. You can see before and after photos here. I am now in the consolidation phase (phase 3) of the Dukan diet. I would say that I am still learning to master Phase 3. Here are some thoughts. I am not unique in this - I have several. Then overeating escalates. Weight comes back on very. Then the only choice is to go back to Phase 2 for weeks and weeks. I have done this a couple of times, going back to Phase 2. Phase 3 and re- introduce carbs.. He. has just come off of Phase 2, having gone back down to his target weight. I cannot explain. He cannot explain it. But it is a consistent thing in both of our. I fully realize that it is my brain and my mouth - I should be able to use. When I am in Phase 2, trying to abstain from carbs. I am not perfect but I am OK. I will have bad days (or even very bad days), but then I. But if I am allowing carbs in on a regular basis, it is a problem. You are able to abstain, but then when you re- introduce them, you lose control. Former alcoholics often experience the same kind of cycle with alcohol. And the. problem with carbs is that it is soooo easy to slip up. I really have had no luck with . It really has been. Conscious calorie restriction does not work for me when. I am eating carbs. But that is so painful to think about - to never again be able to eat pizza, or ice cream, or chocolate cake, or Oreos, or whatever, is painful to think about.. This is the dilemma. Nonetheless, I really am starting to believe that the right path for me is to be in Phase 2. All rights reserved. Dukan diet.. any success stories? I've thought about it, but not done it yet! My friend did it and had remarkable results. Still looks absolutely fantastic and she did her blitz bit last summer. Good luck! Maybe you will spur me onto thinking about it again.. Am gearing myself up for monday (after I have gorged myself on sunday!!) I was quite releived that when I checked the website by ideal weight is 9st 8 lbs.. Good luck x. Hi there I am starting next week on Tuesday ie after Mothers day and also on Monday I need to do a fair bit of driving so am worried I meet feel a bit weak / dizzy if I start it then. So Tuesday is D day - I haven't bought the book would you recommend it ? I have the phone app - the recommendation is I lose about a stone to bring me down to 9stone 2 and I know the principles etc of what I can eat so not sure if I should bother with the book ? Good luck next week Becaroo ! The book is good - albeit a little hard to follow at times (maybe because its been translated from the original french???)Good luck! I lost 4 stone on the Dukan diet from July to end of December last year, I feel amazing! I'm on the consolidation part of the diet now and the weight is staying off nicely(in fact I lost a further 9lbs once I started it) and I get tons of compliments on my skin and hair. Best thing I ever did It's not an easy diet but once you get your head round it, the weight falls off easily and I personally feel much better without too many carbs, it has taught me to view food as fuel again, rather than comfort e. My tips: have the oatbran everyday(I have it in fat free vanilla yoghurt, can't be arsed making the galette), drink plenty of water and do the recommended amount of walking. Also, I ate pork in the cruise phase and it didn't affect my wieght loss, I just made sure fat was cut off. Good luck! Becaroooo, I think you are right about it being translated, I found it a bit hard to get through but worth it anyway. Once you know what you are doing, you don't even need to look at it anymore. Well done mrspw! I must admit I am a bit worried re; the oat bran thing as I cant have yoghurt.. Thank you! Right, no yoghurt, hmm.. That might be ok This forum dukan- diet. I did it, VERY briefly (like 3 weeks and then I gave up - I would not recommend taking on the Dukan diet and moving home at the same time), but for the time I did, it did work and I've kept the weight off. What helped for me is that it made me aware of how much crap carbs I was eating, and i know from sad experience that I put on weight when I eat too much bread etc. The hardest thing for me was not being able to have vegetables for the Attack phase part 1 and then not being able to have fruit. That's also why I quit. That and the moving + dukan combo. Thank you mrspwabs dieting and moving house at the same time? Bugger. Started Monday, have lost 4lbs. It is easy to follow really - the food is so basic - but I wonder how long I could stick it long term. I eat an oatbran pancake every morning - 2 tbsp of oatbran, one egg and a splash of milk and sprinkle with Slenda. Lovely with a coffee. Almost as good as a hot cross bun.. That's Splenda, the sweetener! I couldn't find it in my local supermarket this morning. I got some in my local tesco bornagain Its with the porridge oats (and looks pretty vile tbh!!!)Ooh, thanks Becaroooo. I'll have a look tomorrow. Well, this is Day 1. Food pretty vile, but not hungry. Reckon I might be able to stay the course.. So, I am on Day 2. When I woke up, I noticed that my stomach was a lot flatter. In just one day! The food is a bit boring, but quite filling, I guess. I plan to do the Attack Plan for 1. Has anybody else done it for this long? Is it dangerous? How did you feel on it? Thanks The book says 1. The more weight you want to lose, the longer you do the attack phase for. I start tomorrow and am doing 4 days on the attack phase as recommended by the website. Dont know what to do re: cruise phase, though. I think I will do 1/1. I will be bored stiff of just protein by day 5!!! It is really boring, isn't it? I am just so sick of chicken. I tried to buy some salmon yesterday, but our local supermarket didn't have any. So, chicken again tonight . On the Cruise Phase, I think you can do 5 days veg & protein and 2 days protein? So, 5 and 2? I am so looking forward to eating some vegetables! There are options for the cruise phase.. I have understood the book correctly)I will be doing 1/1. Cant wait to add veg and salad to the mix! Not sure how long I will be able to survive without potatoes though So, is 1/1 better if you've got loads of weight to lose? He says 1/1 will work if you have 2. I do) and 5/2 is good if you have stubborn lbs on thighs and hips to lose.. BUT that assumes I have read it correctly!!! Its then 5 days on the consolidation phase for each lb lost... Then onto the stabilisation phase. Hope I get there quickly! Well, I can't find Oat Bran anywhere. What can I do? I don't want to get constipated. I found Bran Flakes. Can I sprinkle those on my yoghurt? I am doing so well, I don't want to give up because the unavailability of one item.
